Tywonn DavidsonTywonn, born in Reading, Pennsylvania, mostly grew up in the country and attended most of elementary, middle, and all of high school in the small-town Fleetwood Area School District.   She did attend three years of elementary and middle school in the city of Reading.  Her parents divorced when she was about nine years old, resulting in a large family (6 brothers and sisters).  Good thing I love family!!

Tywonn rarely attended church as a young child but became a Christian in elementary school.  She grew spiritually through confirmation classes at her Lutheran church in middle school and was stretched as she was later exposed to a contemporary non-denominational Christian church.  The direction of Tywonn’s life changed when she went on a mission trip to Haiti at 18 years of age.  She left Haiti wanting to travel overseas as a missionary.

Tywonn recently graduated with her Bachelors of Nursing at Florida Southern College, even though she became a registered nurse in 2003.  Tywonn spent her first two years of nursing working as an operating room nurse in Charlotte, North Carolina and the latter three years at Orlando Regional Lucerne Hospital in Orlando, Florida where she was in charge of urology surgery.

Tywonn met her husband, Alan, on the mission trip to Haiti and married him three years later.  They are now striving to become full-time missionaries in Africa.  Tywonn hopes to utilize her nursing skills and gift for teaching to care for the nationals and aid them to care for themselves.

Tywonn enjoys many things such as spending time with her family, reading, watching television, camping, taking walks, and appreciating the beauty of nature.
